The public comment period on the Smith Creek TMDL Action Plan is open May 21 to June 5.

Public Works is hosting workshops in City Hall to provide resources on the Harrisonburg Conservation Assistance Program (HCAP).

The City will be hosting a volunteer tree planting opportunity at Northend Greenway. Members of the community are invited to participate in the tree planting event.

Stretching from an area near the railroad tracks on Mount Clinton Pike and ending at Suter Street in the northern end of the city, the 0.6-mile-long greenway is completely paved and open to all.

The City of Harrisonburg, along with consultant group DESMAN, will host a public forum focused on improving parking options in Downtown.

Multiple improvements are funded for the East Market Street corridor between Martin Luther King Jr. Way and Burgess Road/Linda Lane, including upgrades to the I-81 interchange (exit 247).

The Open House for the Environmental Action Plan will be held in the City Hall Atrium. Attendees will have a chance to review the focus areas, ask questions, and provide comments.

The City of Harrisonburg will host a pre‐construction meeting related to downtown infrastructure improvements on Friday, April 12 at 9:00am in City Council Chambers.
