City Council meets at 7:00pm every second and fourth Tuesday of the month. City Council meetings will be held virtually due to an increase in COVID-19 cases in our area. The City offers ways for residents to take part in meetings from home.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide an orientation to the newly elected member of City Council and to review and discuss City government organization, policies and procedures, and applicable state and local law.
The Virginia Department of Health will hold a free COVID-19 testing event, by appointment only, on Friday, August 14, in Harrisonburg.
Free Covid-19 testing will take place at Harrisonburg High School, 1001 Garbers Church Road. Drivers should follow signage to the south side of the campus to enter the testing area.
Harrisonburg residents will be able to receive free COVID-19 masks on Tuesday, June 30, from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Waterman Square Shopping Center, at West Market Street and Waterman Drive.
