Members of the community are invited to attend a public information session regarding the new Park View water tank project on January 7, 2014 at 6:30pm at Park View Mennonite Church, 1600 College Avenue.
The Stormwater Advisory Committee provides guidance to City Council and staff in the implementation of a Stormwater Management Program that will meet the requirements set forth by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
A public information and input session for the new Municipal Building project will be held at City Council Chambers, 409 S Main St. This will be in the format of an open house with visual displays and feedback forms to receive ideas.

The Economic Development Advisory Committee shall advise and make recommendations and advise the City Council on matters related to economic development which include but are not limited to economic development incentives, current business climate, business attraction and retention, marketing opportunities, and other issues that may promote economic development.
The Department of Public Utilities is collaborating with Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) and the Park View neighborhood to study site locations and the feasibility of installing a new water tank in the Park View area.
City Council will hold a budget work session to discuss the FY2013-2014 budget. This is open to the public, however, the public will not be able to comment during this work session.
The Harrisonburg City Council and Harrisonburg City School Board will hold a joint meeting at the School Board Office, One Court Square. The meeting is open to the public.
