Pursuant to the Virginia Code Sections 15.2-1417 and 15.2-1418 and City Code Section 2-2-6, a special emergency meeting of the City Council of the City of Harrisonburg is called by Mayor Deanna Reed to be held on June 18, 2020 at 5:00pm to consider the following matters:

  1. Call to Order
  2. Consider designating June 19, also known as Juneteenth, a city holiday in 2020
  3. Consider a resolution urging Virginia Safety and Health Codes Board to adopt emergency regulations and standards for workers during COVID-19 Pandemic
  4. Adjournment

This will not be a public hearing.

 

In accordance with the Emergency Ordinance to effectuate temporary changes in certain deadlines and to modify public meeting and public hearing practices and procedures to address continuity of operations associated with pandemic disaster, adopted on April 6, 2020, the public will not be able to physically attend the City Council meeting.
