Welcome to the Harrisonburg Department of Public Works

We are open, and welcoming visitors.  Reminder that all visitors to the Public Works Department, and any City of Harrisonburg office or location, need to wear a face-covering and maintain social distancing. At Public Works, this means only ONE visitor at a time will be able to enter. You can also call or email our office with questions, concerns, or comments.  Our staff is taking precautions to keep us all safe.  Staff will wear a face-covering when interacting with the public or are unable to maintain social distance.  Touchless hand sanitizer stations have been installed at the entrance of the Public Works office, and each individual office and truck has a supply of hand sanitizer.  High touch areas will be sanitized regularly.

Public Works Committee meetings will continue to be held virtually.  Watch the Public Works Events section (in the right-hand column of this page) for dates and times.

Public Works services will continue as scheduled.  Many thanks to all of our employees who have worked to provide Harrisonburg with Public Works services through this pandemic.
