The City is considering several roadway reconfiguration projects. Roadway reconfiguration efforts seek to improve safety and operations on roads through modifying the use of the existing pavement to change the number and alignment of lanes.

Apply for the Community Fire Academy
The Harrisonburg Fire Department is excited to announce their fire citizens academy. The purpose of the academy is to educate Harrisonburg city residents about how the Harrisonburg Fire Department operates and serves the community.
HDPT is seeking feedback on a Microtransit service - an on-demand real-time ride-sharing program that would provide short trips within particular zones of the City.
American Rescue Plan Act
The City has been awarded $23.8 million from the American Rescue Plan Act to be used to support our community and address needs caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
