The November General Election Day occurs on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2020

The polls are open from 6:00am - 7:00pm.

HandicappedCurbside Voting is available at all voting precincts on Election Day.

IMPORTANT DATES:

The Voter Registration Deadline: October 13, 2020

  • At Registrar's Office - 5:00pm  *Check operating hours for DMV or other state designated voter registration agencies authorized to receive voter registration applications.
  • By mail - Postmarked by October 13, 2020.
  • Online Registration via Virginia Department of Elections website - 11:59pm  *Applications that are required to be printed and delivered to the registrar should be treated as regular mailed in applications (postmarked by October 13, 2020). The October 13, 5:00pm deadline would apply if they are submitted in-person at the Registrar's Office. 

In Person Absentee Voting Starts: September 18, 2020 

Last Day to Submit an Absentee Ballot Application by Mail, Fax or E-mail: October 23, 2020

Last Day to Vote Absentee in Person: October 31, 2020

In Person Absentee Voting will be available Monday thru Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm and will additionally be available Saturday, October 24, and Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 8:00am - 4:00pm.

Curbside voting is also available in the main parking lot of City Hall, and on the northside of the old Municipal Building.

Last Day for Absentee Ballots to be Returned by Mail: Postmarked by November 3, 2020

*The Ballot can also be returned in person at the Registrar's office but only by the voter. 

**Ballots must be returned to the locality from which they were mailed out.
