Real Estate Taxes are due December 5. Since December 5 falls on a Saturday this year, official USPS postmarks dated December 7 are considered timely. Following a vote of City Council to provide relief to residents due to COVID-19, Personal Property Taxes are now due February 1, 2021.

The tax rate for the City of Harrisonburg is .86 cents per hundred of assessed value, effective July 1, 2019. This rate is subject to change annually. The tax rate is set by City Council and decided upon each year in April.5:00pm
